Expiration Date.

We know how this goes:
enjoy it until the end.
For there will be one.

That is a comfort.
We enjoy each other, yet,
the finite exists.

Right now, you're a fit.
Later, we can both move on.
Let's be good 'till then.

I won't want any more
then what we've set out for now.
We're both placeholders.

Things are good

Compared with last year,
I'm moving forward, happy.
Worry is at bay.

Nothing has to be
right now. There's the sense that
it will all turn out.

Connections strengthened
and getting better. Cliche
be damned, life is good.

My type of weekend.

A week in 4 days.
Out, about, adventures in hours.
All I missed was sleep.

Always on the move.
Out with people new and old.
Smiles all around.

Monday morning now.
Voice scratchy, eyes are heavy,
still, can't turn that down.

A walk in the snow

There's light snow falling.
Out for a walk after a
visit to the gym.

A small glass of wine
and homemade chili await.
Simple winter night.

Happy as I am
I can't help but start feeling
I wish this was Prague

A welcome, quiet weekend ahead.

A manic evening,

in the best possible sense.
Good friends to lean on

An early night in.
Still can't sleep but without worry.
Things will be alright.

The winter's set in.
Not everything gets frozen.
Sleep in Saturday.

Yes, more music

The older I get,
I find Paul Westerberg all
the more relevant.

Last Year Had A Winner

Did anyone else
have a better 2009
than the Black Eyed Peas?

Come to think of it,
that is really sad, or, just
damned hilarious.

Social Media and the Proroguing of Parliament

I don't like Harper,
but a Facebook group against
it seems, well, useless.

If the PM is
scared of this, then the country
has bigger problems.

Old Wine. New Bottles.

If not for bad luck,
there would be no luck out there.
New year, same season.

The Saab is dead

The engine has died
on an old and noble steed.

Rest well you old Swede.

Well, that's okay. I

didn't need to save money.

Sweet sweet sarcasm.

Now the hunt begins.

A car that I can afford.

(Perfect timing too).

The New Year approaches

With the year ahead,
quick's the word, sharp's the action.
It all feels brand new.

A toast to you Life.

There's two bottles of wine down,
Still angry at you.

I'll forgo a glass,
drinking straight from the bottle.
It's a Saturday?

Timing is the key.
Damned if I'll get this one right.
Just one of those nights.

No quick solution.
It has to follow this path.
Still, I'm not happy.

The joys of red wine
and good music keep me sane.
Time heals all they say.

Overreaction?
I can't see beyond this.
Just disappointment.

Sadly, it is a
shared personality that
brings us together.

Sadly, it's timing
that wrecks what is possible
and the wonderful.

Sadly, I didn't
meet you when we needed to.
That's what I regret.

Funnily enough
I know that you feel the same.
Then cue the gut punch.

First date, Christmas Eve

A late night ending
and still smiling this morning.
It all just went well.

Indecisiveness and general worry.

Glasgow? Toronto?
I'm just torn on this topic.
Cue up the Clash song

Main problem: money.
I'm used to this lifestyle
(plus I'm comfortable).

Is this Peter Pan?
Or a want of adventure?
Symptom of 30?

But still, first things first:
start the visa process now,
then look for a job.

A few steps ahead
won't kill me. Plus they may just
answer some questions.

Future plans on past visitations

Of the few places
I've been in the world, I like

Olomouc the best.

The centre of Europe.
An old capital city.
Only noticed by few.

Pièce de résistance:
the astrological clock.
Why? It's communist.

One day I'll be back.
To walk quiet, snowy streets
on a New Year's Eve.
